Renée began studying alternative medicine modalities when her daughter became ill over fifteen years ago. As her family’s health needs have evolved over the years, Renee has sought out additional trainings and modalities to find avenues to support the body’s ability to heal.
She graduated from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (VUIM) with her Master of Science and Professional Doctorate in Acupuncture. She is trained in Auricular Medicine and SAAT by Dr. Nader Soliman, certified in Emotion Code and Body Code, and is a Level II Reiki practitioner (original Japanese style). She is proud to be a trauma-informed provider and loves working with the neurodiverse population.
Teaching is a passion of hers which is why she took the opportunity to return to VUIM to teach clinical skills in the school’s acupuncture clinic. She loves working with both kids and adults.
Renée also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Oklahoma. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in nature, being creative, reading, and enjoying life with family and friends.
